I ordered a new Motorokr T505, paid full price plus shipping - and received a used T501, scratched, and repackaged in sandwich bags.Beware.
too much static, radio frequency has to be changed all the timeA Big Disappointment
Works well most of the time, sometimes the voices sound gargled, sometimes people cannot understand me this is about 10% of the time. Other than that when it works it pretty good overall.
Voice dial via the T505 is virtually worthless as the iPhone can't make any correlation. The bluetooth link is aggressive and captures the iPhone if you forget to turn it off before leaving the car in the garage. I would not recommend purchasing the T505, especially for an iPhone. Mediocre to poor intelligibility out of the speaker. Listeners report mic voice quality is poor and hard to hear. The plug-in headset mic works virtually 100% so it's not the phone.
Save your money, buy a less expensive unit. The Moto unit is much more expensive then it's competitors. I purchased one of these and I loved it. After using it for two weeks, the mini usb charging connector broke off inside the unit, keeping it from charging. I thought I was paying a premium price for Motorola quality, but what I got was poorly made junk.
